Ten Plus Architectural Louvers and Sunshades installed on Okanagan Centre for Innovation in Kelowna BC | InterCoast Building Solutions VancouverThe Okanagan Centre for Innovation (OCI), located in the heart of Kelowna’s cultural district, is a six-storey, 105,000 sqft, state-of-the-art centre, designed to help build Canada’s most innovative, creative and entrepreneurial technology community.

The OCI was designed with Ten Plus architectural louvers and sunshades to cool the facility and keep the occupants comfortable in the scorching Okanagan temperatures.

Dave Neuman from Rutland Glass based in Kelowna, BC was chosen by Meiklejohn Architects Inc. to supply and install the Ten Plus Architectural Louvers for this impressive facility in the Okanagan. The Ten Plus product specified was the Model H4451 – a 4” deep Storm Blade style louvre with glazing flanges and Class I clear anodic finish.

The Ten Plus louvers and sunshades improve the energy efficiencies of the building and keeps the facility shaded on the southeast exposure. These particular products were specified for their ease of installation. Rutland Glass was selected because of their exceptional customer service and their ability to liaise effectively and seamlessly with the architects throughout the project.

The OCI will attract people who are keen to view the latest art exhibit, enjoy a ballet or symphony performance, as well as socialize at the restaurants and microbreweries.
